Ray Sensei is a first Dan in Kempo Jujitsu and has been training in the Martial Arts off and on since childhood. Besides Kempo Jujitsu he has had experience in Jujitsu, Shotokan Karate, Wado Ryu Karate, Ki Aikido. He teaches a combination of all these styles, blending them into an effective street self defence system.

Sensei started Northern Martial Arts Studios in the year 2000 in a village called Keiss but because of the lack of facilities the club was forced to move to Wick, where it is still today. Shortly after that he was asked to open a Dojo in Thurso. So now he is running two successful clubs in Caithness, with a student base of over 60 people. (date 02/04)

Recently Sensei has had the good fortune to meet Shihan Dave Wilson of Bushin International. Shihan Wilson asked Sensei to become the Scottish representative for Bushin International and he has accepted.
