Click here to return to back to the NMAS Gallery page. Saturday the 6th of December was one of the major highlights of the year for NMAS, as it was Raymond’s Dan grading. Shihan David Wilson came up to Caithness from Kent to hold a seminar for NMAS but first conducted a grading in Kempo Jujitsu for Raymond. Shihan has been doing Kempo sometimes spelled Kenpo and Jujitsu for over 25 years and hold a 6th degree Black Belt in these systems. He also holds a 6th Degree in Close Quarter Combat Systems along with high ranking Black Belts in Wado Ryu Karate, Hapkido, Aikido and Judo as well as others. He has now blended all of these arts to form his own system called Bushin Kenpo International. Raymond spent an hour and a half relentlessly going through his Kempo Jujitsu Syllabus before moving on to do some elements from Wado, Aikido and Judo all of which he has participated in at some time during his long experience in Martial Arts. Off and on he has been studying Martial Arts of some kind for over 30 years. At the end of the morning Raymond was relieved and elated to receive his Shodan in Kempo Jujitsu from Shihan Wilson.
